Need some Advice

Hi,
I'm a 28 year old white female.   I went to my medical doctor about 2 months ago and she did blood test on me for a liver test and it came back a little high she said it was something just to be aware of and then she said we had to do another test a month later and it came back worse it was i guess very high she said and something is wrong with my liver and she wasnt sure what to do.  But she said to ask my cardiologist doctor what to do but they dont treat liver problems right? and i dont have an appoitment with him untill 3 weeks i'm not sure if i should wait and just go see him? or  Should i go see a liver specialists? I just dont want it to get really bad can you give me any advice.
Thanks Jen

i think it is OK to wait for your next appointment to check the liver tests.  Hope you feel better.

one must always be watchful for autoimmune hepatitis especially in a woman of your age.  if viral infections are excluded, then OTC and prescription medications could also be to blame.

very often mild liver test abnormalities can be OK so if they are not that elevated we generally wait for six months and follow them.  if they are very elevated however you should definitely see a gastroenterologist or liver specialist.  In what city do you reside?
