Transplant question...

My father-in-law received a liver transplant on Feb. 5th. He received the transplant because he is a Hep C patient and had recently been diagnosed with liver cancer. The have been worried because his enzyme levels haven't been dropping much yet, is this normal?  Could this be potentially fatal?

if the liver is working the enzymes will progressively fall for the first couple of weeks after the transplant.  sometimes the liver is slow to work and the enzymes may be elevated or in infrequent circumstances there could be a vessel or bile duct problem.
