life after hepatic stent

my partner had 6 osophagel bands in june he was re-admitted on the 20th sept and had a portal stent in his liver and was discharged the 13th oct he is still poorly no after care no diet info and tonight he has just come home from a&e after a light bleed from his back passage .  i must say the hospital have not been forthcoming with any info. he was in ICU for 8 days he is losing weight by the day . what options has he got right now as. no-one is saying anything, he feel's so weak and like lead please can someone give me some kind of information. i feel like i am going in circles and  want to reasure the person i love so dearly. please help

i presume the stent that you are referring to is a TIPS.  it may take a while before he convalesces adequately.  Does he need a transplant?

THANK YOU  SO VERY MUCH FOR ANSWERING MY QUESTION ,BUT WE HAVE HAD NO INFORMATION ON ANY AFTER CARE AT ALL  BUT ON WEDNESDAY , IS HIS FOLLOW UP AND I WILL TRY TO FIND OUT WHAT IS GOING TO BE GOING ON, EVEN TODAY I HAD TO PHONE FOR A APPT FOR  DIETICIAN AND BELIEVE IT OR NOT IT IS FOR THE 1ST OF MARCH THERE IS SO MANY DIETS HE SHOULD BE ON BUT THEY ALL CONFLICT CAN YOU PLEASE HELP MORE HE IS LOSING WEIGHT RAPIDLY AGAIN MANY THANX
