If i lower my prograf lower than 6.5 through rate i start getting discomfort right side .i am having cognitive issues on prograf that are getting very hard to live with, seems like it got alot worse after my last of three mri with contrast in two years. was hospitalized two days after last contrast exsposure white blood count went to1000, headach, fever urine got exstremly foamy, severe itching ,tighting and rashd eveloped on lower legs two weeks after. My platlets droped to 45000 usally are 100.000 .they have returned to 60.000.I have been getting a very unwell feeling after i eat since  i got home frome hospital. Its kind of the same feeling i had after my transplant when i was on hi doses of prograf. Any ideas ? Can i try lowering my prograf to try and alievaite this cognitive impairment by adding maybe some cellcept? I have never been on anything but prograf alone except prednisone 6 mo tx .My mouth stays extreamly dry tounge seams to be affixed to my roof of mouth with a tight jaw week muscels and eyesight since contrast. nobody seems to be able to offer any direction.tx 7-1-07 alt 21-ast23 THANK YOU Dr.

adding the cellcept would be to try and lower the prograf concurrently

when you say adding some cellcept might be a good idea,does that include trying to lower my prograf some?

prograf can definitely cause memory issues and cognitive impairment, but usually not to appreciable degrees.  I think adding some cellcept is a good idea.
