Lung infection

Hi
I was just in the doctor, I have been having trouble breathing and tired all the time.
they took an ex-ray and told me I have spots on my lung that are bronco spasms and I have a lung infection
I have been on anabiotics for a week and an allergy/asthma pill. I still feel terrible, cant do much cause its hard to breathe. I feel like my throat is swollen. Does this all seem like what he said?

Hi,
Cough may be caused by acid reflux; it is unusual for bronchospasm to result from it.
A bronchodilator pill would help.
Best of Luck!

Hi,
Bronchospasm is possible. A lung specialist would be able to diagnose your condition after a physical examination and necessary tests.
Good Luck!

What do you think this could be? Is it possible it is a broncospasm?

Hi,
Of course the option of a second opinion is a reasonable one.
Pl seek an appointment with a pulmonologist.

Hi
Its been weeks now. I was given anoxicillian. Then singular and then steriods and an inhaler. Today I went again and was given a different inhaler. Was told infection gone but bronco bad and damaged. Do you think I should get  different opinion or what could it be?

Hi,
What antibiotics were given to you? Have you had a sputum examination done?
Chest infections can sometimes be quite protracted, and patients may need treatment for a few weeks.
Good Luck!

Hi
I still do not feel better. I have been on singular for 2 weeks and while it helps I still get out of breath walking and am very tired. I had an cath done last year and had 10% blockage, I have no chest pain. Is this still thought to be an infection? How long does it take to clear and how do you get them?

Hi,
I apologise for the delay in replying.
Infection and bronchospasm do result in tiredness, breathlessness, and throat discomfort.
Antibiotics, warm saline gargles and steam inhalation should definitely help you. If breathlessness is troublesome, admission to the hospital with intravenous antibiotics is an option.
A throat swab for culture and sensitivity should be collected. Sputum for cytology, gram stain, and culture and sensitivity should also be collected.
Do let me know how you are doing now.
All the best, and God Bless!
