lung nodules

I went to the ER for pain in my lower stomach, and they did a CAT scan and found that I had two nodules on my lungs. I can't remember if they said the size was 3cm or 3mm but either way they told me to follow up with my regular doctor. So I went the next day and she sent me to have another CAT scan. When the results came back she told me that they were two positive nodules but she wanted me to wait for 6 months to have them re-checked. But why wait. She told me not to worry about it, but it seems thats all I have been doing is worring. What should I do? Please Help!!

Demand  PET/Ct scan! that way you dont have to play this waiting game. They should do this for all of us so we dont drive ourselves crazy.

The doctor said I had at least one positive nodule. I am 26 and I do smoke about a pack a day. The size is 3cm.

so what was the correct size and what was positive? What is your age and do you smoke?
