What does High Sed Rate, low Vitamin D, and Elevated RNP mean?

Rhumatologist thinks Fibromyalgia, PCP really believes Mixed Connective Tissue. I'm going crazy. I'm tired all the time, my whole body hurts, my body is swollen to where I can leave indents and I have been running 99.0-100 everyday for over a year. I have also been diagnosed with spina bifida, scoliosis, cervical dystonia, and chronic migraines. Please help! I feel like the docs don't know what's going on.

Oh my jadenRae. I don't know where to start!

You are a miracle in disguise, enduring all this suffering

and finding the courage to post here to find some

answers to help yourself get better.

Most people in such situations would have given up,

ending up probably deep into prescription and street

drugs, without any hope to ever return to any type of a

"normal life".

OK, now to the medical "sciency" stuff .

Your entire body  seems to be under chronic

biological stress (not to mention the mental stress you

must be having dealing with all this)

The longer it has been going on the likelier it is that

your stress hormone production (specially cortisol) is

unable to sustain high levels, thus cortisol production

could be suffering .

Which makes you:

a. more vulnerable to pathogenic, fungal and parasitic

infections.

b. a candidate to get Adrenal Fatigue.

c. substantially compromised ability to recover from

illnesses.

--The high Sed Rate indicates inflammation.

--The elevated RNP points to Lupus or MCTD, however,

it is not diagnostic on its own.

--The low Vitamin D is very serious, but can be corrected

by supplementation  (5000 IU of D3 daily with Vitamin

K2 , some Magnesium and all taken with meals

containing some good fats)

So overall, I don't think conventional doctors can help you.

What  you need in order to turn things around is a very good Functional Medicine Doctor

Adrenal fatigue (highly suspect) is notoriously hard to treat, specially on your own.

It is possible you have an undiagnosed low grade

chronic infectious condition and low thyroid function

(forced by the adrenals for their own recovery)

The low thyroid function (suspected) cannot be

addressed on its own,

without addressing the adrenal issues.

You may also have other undiagnosed  deifiencies

and imbalances. Too much to cover in this post.

Please post again and fill me in with any recent Labs

and anything else you may want to mention.

Best wishes,

Niko
