testing for autoimmune issues

does anyone know if it is a rule that crp and/or sed rate will be elevated with lupus or other associated autoimmune disorders when someone is positive for antibodies.

Walt, the CRP and SED are indicators of inflammation.  They are not always elevated with lupus.  If the inflammation is really bad, they will be elevated.  The CRP is a more sensitive test.

Lupus is one of the few autoimmune disorders where it won't nec have raised CRP. Also useful to look at complement C3 and C4 levels alongside antibodies X
