My Doctor told me everyone Herx's different... some people don't herx at all, some within a few days of treatment and others months into treatment. It depends on severity, your body and other contributions.
I think my herxing is when i have bad days.. i can go a week with good days and then a week with bad days.
Actually right now i have really bad upset stomach, nausea and sinus flare up, more vitreous floaters than normal and up and down "brain fog" with more fatigue.
I just started my 4 month for antibiotic treatment.
P.S. Everyone is different, but i truely think a week or two of abx is not suffient enough for anyone.. even with the first stages of lyme. (when bull's eye rash is present, or even finding the tick on you)
I posted a herx poll so we can see the percentage of people who have had a herx. Your question above gave me the idea.
Regarding the herx symptoms, from what I have read some people don't really show herx symptoms but just start getting better. I have bad herx symptoms when I start an antibiotic.
My neighbor had lyme a few years ago. Her treatment was Augmentin and she fully recovered so far. I can't remember how long she took it for but I remember it was a few months. She told me she thought she had lyme for about 3 months before it was diagnosed. She was treated by her family doctor. Surprisingly, she had a + ELISA and a + WB by standard labs. She had all arthritic symptoms and fatigue, no neuro symptoms.
