Blood Sample Might Predict MS Long Before Symptoms Start
"FRIDAY, Feb. 21, 2014 (HealthDay News) -- An antibody linked with multiple sclerosis (MS) might be detectable in the blood of people with the disease before symptoms appear, a new study indicates.
The findings could lead to earlier diagnosis and treatment of the central nervous system disorder, the researchers said.
"If our results can be replicated in larger populations, our findings may help to detect MS earlier in a subgroup of patients," said study author Dr. Viola Biberacher, with Technical University in Munich, Germany. "Finding the disease before symptoms appear means we can better prepare to treat and possibly even prevent those symptoms."

Note the words 'might' and 'subgroup'.
But if it does prove valid------ why can't they do the same for Lyme disease? (Said she, plaintively).

I was asked to speak at an ALS support group many years ago about the possibility that ALS might be misdiagnosed as Lyme or connected in some way. I made it clear that it was just a possibility but gave them info on how to get that checked out.
The leader of the group (didn't have ALS herself) then asked a large hospital in S.F. (The ALS wing) if they would like to have me speak to them.
They declined. (grin)

I have been reading more and more scientific articles that things like MS, lupus, ALS and others are really lyme in disguise. I believe it.
