Early last week I noticed a dime-sized rash on my arm, on the inside where the arm bends. I figured I just had a weird allergic reaction to something that got on my arm.
Then Thursday morning I woke up with all of my joints aching with a slight swelling. My feet were the worse..and my legs felt like something inside them was swelling and straining, but I couldn't really see it. I also felt a little sick, but not enough to keep me down that much. Friday my feet were better, but my ankles were worse. Saturday my left hand was achy and slightly swollen, and my knees were still stiff. Sunday it went to the top of my right hand. It kept doing this. The other night my right hand kept going numb. Today is Tuesday and it's getting better. The stiffness and swelling, numbness, and aching is slowly going away. We live in the high desert with extreme temperatures and I've only seen one tick out here in 20 years since we've lived here...and that was at a park in the grass.
Does that sound like Lyme? I've been told that the rash doesn't sound like it...but it is round, almost gone, but I can see it. As a matter of fact, it actually spread and it was disappearing. It wasn't a painful rash, just itchy. I couldn't get into the doctor sooner..but I have an appointment in 2 days.
Thanks for your help and info in advance!
