Has anyone else lost their appetite with Mepron?

I have, since I am hypothyroid since getting sick, it's not the worse thing to happen, having no appetite. I was just wondering if this is a common side effect?

Yes, every month I have to increase it due to bad blood tests so we switched the type this month. We shall see what happens.

You're very welcome.  I see the 'bot' blocked out my reference to

                                 drugs [dot] com

in the first line of my email -- I think I forgot the [square] brackets.  Oh well.

Has your doc got you on thyroid supps?

Jackie, right now I am not calling this an unusual side effect. When I first got sick, I lost 40lbs in 1 month and looked like a sick skeleton. I am not that bad. My LLMD said malarone is an option if I want to try it.
Thanks Jackie.

From drugs *******, under 'Mepron':

==================================
Check with your doctor if any of these most COMMON side effects persist or become bothersome when using Mepron:

    Diarrhea; difficulty sleeping; dizziness; headache; increased cough; increased sweating; indigestion; ****loss of appetite****; muscle pain; nausea; runny or stuffy nose; stomach pain; vomiting; weakness.

Seek medical attention right away if any of these SEVERE side effects occur when using Mepron:

    Severe allergic reactions (rash; hives; itching; difficulty breathing; tightness in the chest or throat; swelling of the mouth, face, lips, or tongue; unusual hoarseness); anxiety; change in the amount of urine produced; dark urine; depression; fever; flu-like symptoms; pale stools; red, swollen, blistered, or peeling skin; severe or persistent stomach pain; shortness of breath; unusual bruising or bleeding; white patches in the mouth; yellowing of the eyes or skin.
===============================

Also read the package insert that came with the meds, as unclear as those can be.  If any of the 'common' side effects listed above seem more than a minor annoyance, I'd call the doc's office for guidance.

That said, I was on Mepron for months and had zero side effects.  Everybody's different!
