Have i caught lymes early enough to beat it

Morning all,

I got bitten by a tick a month ago (3rd July) and sure enough two weeks later the bullseye rash appeared.

I dont believe that the tick was on my body more than afew hours as i would have noticed it as i saw the bite later that day. Its very confusing as i didn't leave the patch or walk in long grass.

I am currently taking a three week course of doxycycline (100mg 2 times daily) which i started 16 days after the bite.

Have i caught this early enough to completely get rid of it and has my doctor prescribed the best treatment? Is there anything else i can do to help

I had a blood test yesterday and am waiting for the results. Can someone tell me how acurate this will be please

Thanks in advance

James

You may want to up the Doxy to 200 mg 2 ex's a day and try to talk the doctor into 5-6 weeks of treatment.  Be sure to take probiotics for gut health and continue probiotics after finishing antibiotic.  Best wishes for good health.
