Lyme disease-HepC false positive??
I recently was diagnosed with Lyme disease. I had all the classic signs of Lyme disease but wanted the doctor to check for everything (HIV, Hepatitis, etc..) as Im a firefighter and work around sick people and blood on a regular basis. The HEP C test came back positive (a little elevated). Has anyone heard of Liver Function Tests coming back abnormal/positive with those that are also tested positive for Lyme disease (please say yes)? They drew more blood to confirm the HEP C, but I wont have the results until next week....I'm freaking out!!
Welcome. How were you diagnosed with lyme? I did not have a positive test but I had the bullseye rash and all the other symptoms. I had elevated liver enzymes but my hepatitis tests all came back negative. I had immunity for hep B since I've had the vaccine.
