Oral yeast...

Went to see my GP today for my sore mouth.  He didn't say ANYTHING about an oral yeast infection... He knows I'm being treated for lyme and that I've been on abx, but didn't say yeast.  He is checking me for something else that can cause sore tongue (I can't remember the name of it though) or he said it very well be just part of having lyme.  He said it can wreck havoc literally anywhere.  This dr is a new dr on base and is supposebly my new PCM.   The other dr that actually has been working with my LLMD is still there too.  Anyways I feel so blessed to have two GP in my clinic that believe in Chronic lyme.

Today I felt really good!!  I wish everyday could be like this.  I think I had a mini herx that lasted about 2 days a couple days ago, but am feeling well today (even though my oldest started Kindergarten today ;(

Anyways I'm still concerned I have a oral yeast infection.  I would think though that a dr would certainly recongnize it.... RIGHT??  I hope so.    I also had him do a full thyroid panel.

i also think its an yeast infection, about 5 months ago my tongue was splitting open i had cracks all over it and my mouth was just sore.  they told me it just had to do with lyme. i even lost my taste buds for about a month, that was kinda nice for losing weight.lol did not want to eat everything tasted the same.  i do take nystatin 4xaday i hope you get better.

Hi,
as you know yeast infections are quite common with lyme. Are you taking an anti yeast med like nystatin?

Mine makes sure that I take it twice a day to prevent yeast.

It sounds like a yeast infection. I'm not a doctor though. I had an early yeast infection back in May.

Let me know. :)
