I would trust the pharmacist. It probably doesn't matter. Are you seeing improvement with your wound? If not, I would let your doctor know.
Probiotics are suppose to help your tummy not be upset so I think you are fine as long as it helped.
I actually took food with my doxy, I remember.
hello mojogal. thank you for replying. i took doxycycline for a wound infection. and my doctor prescribed me the antibiotic for only 10 days. and i have already finished my medications when i started reading and seeing more comments that you should give it 2 or 3 hours before and after eating yogurt. but i called my pharmacist once while taking doxy if i could eat any food before taking the med. and was told that it shouldn't be a problem. so now i am confused.
Hi, most of us take a probiotic. I guess your doctor is saying to eat yogurt since it has some probiotics in it. 2 hrs before or after shouldn't make a big difference but you should ask the Dr.
Are you taking Doxy for Lyme? If so, it is not long enough. Even for a recent bite, you should take doxy for 4-6 weeks. My ex husband, whose job was working outside, was bit by ticks often. He took doxy for a month after a bite.
If you would like to give us your back story we could help you in a better way.
