and ps Lyme affects the endocrine system in many ways, mood being one of them. biochemistry and all that. so don't worry about being downcast sometimes, and talk to your doc if it's getting in your way. magnesium supplements might help mood too, if you're not taking them. lyme uses up magnesium, and the American diet is deficient in it anyway. i take it everyday still, and i notice when i skip it. hang in there! it's a good fight you're waging.

The steroids and their effects aren't going to stay with you. During the time that you were on them, your immune response was hampered and the Borrellia and other microvermin were able to grow.
I think Burrascano means the prognosis is bad if one continues on steroids for whatever misdiagnosed condition, but actually has Lyme underlying.
