Things going south

I haven't been online for a while because things have really been crazy with health and trying to figure things out.

Nutshell: Taken off any antibiotics and supplements more than two months ago because of "off" kidney numbers.

Creatinine lowered and GFR came up a little to 55 but now has dropped to 45. Creatinine now up to 1.61.

Blood pressure high 140s to150s/90-100.

My LLMD thought is was the antibiotics causing problems, but that doesn't seem to be the case.

Can Lyme Disease or co-infections be causing high blood pressure and affecting the kidneys?

Could getting back on antibiotics (Bicillin IM) help with all this? And how do we really know?

Can hardly get through the day  now with fatigue and worry.

Thanks to all who may have some input.

I'm the next state over from you in AL.  If you find a good LLMD, please let me know. I feel your pain.

Yes lyme can effect BP and heart rate. Have you been to a cardiologist yet?
You might have them test you for POTS. Since lyme my BP goes sky high. It's like my CNS forgets how to regulate it. I went on a beta blocker which helped a lot. I found out last week my kidney #'s are going up. I'm not sure what they'll do about that. The cardio said these heart problems will go away with treatment, got to think he knows what he's talking about.
I know this is really scary and exhausting, with so many ups and downs. Hang in there!

I just sent you a private message here with a string of Georgia Lyme groups that could lead you to a copacetic LLMD ... go for it, Murph.  Getting revenge on the bugz is sweeeeeet.

Hey Jackie. There are doctors in Atlanta who treat Lyme, but they are not LLMDs, at least from what I found. Guess it's time to look in another state again.

I do believe it's part of the Lyme deal that is causing high blood pressure, which is impacting kidneys. The again, I'm throwing darts :)

Hope you are doing real well.

There's gotta be at least one other Lyme doc in Atlanta.

Sorry to hear the rough time you are having.  I guess this proves the saying that "It's always something".  :(

You might consider a second opinion.  A 'second look' with fresh eyes can sometimes piece things together in new ways.
