car sick ?

I know 'lymies' can have travel sickness - or motion sickness - I have this most of the time - but I have noticed that recently when I have sat in the car driving/passenger - I feel really horrible - ie;worse pain /nauseous - it usually wears of or gets slighty better after about 10 mins.

anyone else relate to this ? - I do get a sort of sensory overload at times - but this is like everytime I sit in the car!!

I am very jumpy aslo.  Some days worse then other.  I forgot how bad it was as i was on antibiotics for some time and it seemed to go away.  Since being off now for 1 week, I,ve noticed the anxiety and being startled easily is slightly there.  I hope that goes away after my body adjusts to all that its been through.

I don't know if this is a 'lyme' thing - does anyone else get easily 'startled' - maybe its where I am in a dream world sometimes - then instead of something making me 'jump' - like a normal person - I feel like 'wow - what was that' !!

I am always off-balance.  Everytime there is a 'thump' my daughter freaks out thinking I fell again, even if it was just the cats jumping off of something.  If you saw me walking on my bad days you would think i have been in a bar all day.

I have had the feeling of being 'lop-sided' - though if I look in a mirror - I look straight!!

Probably having a large screen TV didn't help. The balance stuff was quite bizarre. A few times I hit the edge of the wall with my shoulder when I would turn the corner in a hallway. Couldn't negotiate the turn. I started dragging my hand down the wall to stay straight. Glade that's gone!

I didn't have the TV problem but I had balance problems.  It would feel like I was falling to the side when I walked.

Starting with the months leading up to treatment and about 4-5 months into I had motion sickness when riding in a vehicle. It was also the time frame when I had bad balance issues. Did anyone experience motion sickness from watching TV. I would have to look away until what was on slowed down.

I noticed this shortly after I started developing those wierd symptoms we all have.

No more amusement parks (can't even watch the rides), no more boat fishing, I have to be driving or I get sick.  I can't even endure those flashing signs that are everywhere now, those are an instant (you know) and have passed out a few times from them also. was tested for epilepsy because of that, but don't have it - TG.  And nobody except me was hurt in the accident.

Yep, alot of fun stuff out the window because of it.  :(

No more amusement park rides for me either.
I used to love them, My head feels like its in constant motion most of the time especially in the am hours.

This weekend the car ride felt like we were doing 100 but it was 65mph.

I wonder if this will go away with time?

ditto to patsy10, I prefer to drive than to ride.  I sometimes get dizzy just walking.  Super soft beds are no good, because it's too much like being on a boat.

Absolutely.  I can't do boats or amusement park rides anymore.  I'm ok if I am the  driver of the car but I get nauseated if I am the passenger on long rides.
