joint pain

I can't believe how bad my joints are. They hurt so bad especially today when I worked the 9 hours on my feet the whole time. I was bending over to put ice in the bags and I can really feel it in my hips. Even though my test was borderline and then negative, could it cause all of this? I'm sorry if I'm repeating myself,I just can't think straight..my memory is soo bad. Tomorrow is my last day at work,it's been soo bad with child care and I have to keep asking the customer's what they want,it's that bad. I feel horrible because I think I annoyed the other worker's. I had to ask them for help quite a bit. They don't know nothing about my story except that I have arthritis in my joints. Has anyone done that before, asked to repeat someone? I just wanted to cry today but I couldn't. I got home and took one of my pain pills just to take the edge off my pain. Well,I need to get up in 8 hours,I will talk to you all later and have a great night!

Hey,we're back from the beach. We had fun, then we had an accident. My hubby was filling the water tank up and it over flowed our toilet and so we had a wet and stinky floor(carpet). We got home earlier and had to rip out all of the carpet. The trailer use to be my grandparents' trailer for 20 years(brand new when they got it). It's 21 years old now and this is the first time this has happened. But,we did have a good time. We went crabbing, and my hubby went fishing with his dad and our son. They had fun. And then my hubby and I went for a drive(just the 2 of us,on saturday). We drove on the beach, then we went and saw WW2 things and then we went to DQ for ice cream. We left early this morning..my sister'n'law has property down there,so we brought our trailer.

How was everyone's weekend?? I hope you all had a great one. Talk to you all later, byee!

Yes I get rashes flamepro have done all this last year again, I thought it was allergies, changed all my creams, shampoos everything then realsed my symptoms were the same as either Lyme or Fibro, I was bitten by a tick so I think it is Lyme , I have done my own research and had help from other members with similar..

The bumps are under my arms,my neck, back, stomach, and some on my legs. But I still itch everywhere even though there isn't any bumps there..it's so weird. We're leaving tomorrow..to the beach for the weekend. I can't wait..our 9th anniversary is saturday so we thought we would take our kids and go on a mini vacation. I will be back on either sunday evening or monday. I hope you all have a wonderful weekend..talk to you all later and have a great night.

Thank you all so much. I feel better knowing it's not just me and it's part of lyme. I'm trying to save money up so I can see a better doctor that knows about this disease. I can't believe how many symptoms we have because of this bug. I just want to say thank you again..you all have been soo helpful and kind. I'm glad I joined this group. I hope you all have a wonderful night!!

I get clusters of small hard bumps, sometimes with white centers.  I've gotten this on my face (mostly nose/forehead), forearms, my right leg, and recently outbreaks on my chest and part of my back.

I also get face flushing (I'm fair, and it will look like a bad sunburn).  I've also in the past had red streak rashes, consistent with bartonella.

I hope you get some relief from the pain.  My symptoms cycle, so I try to focus on better days to get through the rough patches

you probably know that the tests for lyme are unreliable - if I were you I would find an LLMD. [lyme literate med. doc.] - you could try getting more testing/treatment from whoever treated you previously - but an LLMD. is the best way to go.

Rashes are common to lyme - different shapes and sizes - if you google 'lyme rash pictures' - you should get some idea.

many 'lymies' get whole body itching - with/without rash - I get it from time to time - its like little stabbing prickly itch - comes and goes suddenly.

take care

I was treated last year, but they didn't give me hardly any pills..they prescribed me with Doxy after the first test results were borderline and then they called me and said the western blot was negative so they told me to stop, and I did which I'm upset about that. I should of taken the whole bottle.

I have another question..is it normal to get rashes? I've been getting these red bumps with white in the middle and they itch. Every once in awhile I get them and my whole body itches..it's annoying. I haven't been doing/eating anything out of the ordinary,so not sure where they came from..any input is greatly appreciated, thank you!!

Thank you all so much. I had to leave work early because I have the stomach bug. Today was my last day at work..it was to much. I had babysitters but they couldn't watch them and all my paycheck was going to them practically,so I put my 2 weeks in. I have 3 kids, ages 3,5,and 9. I told my husband that when they're all in school,I will look for a job. I was likeing my paychecks but I didn't get much after paying someone. They charged $2.00 an hour for each kid,so that would be over $4.00 an hour. I was getting minimum wage which is $8.40/hour. And they also take taxes out,so it adds up.

I took a 2 hour nap today since I didn't have any kids and it helped a little. The nausea was just horrible, and I felt like fainting, and had cold sweats today, not good. I wish my new doctor could do more tests on lyme(I like my new doctor). He didn't know I was bit by a tick until I told him the other day.

How are you all feeling/doing? I missed you all..I've been busy. I've now been able to get on here. I will talk to you all later and hope everyone's doing better!!

I'm sorry for your pain; God bless you for continuing to work.  You mentioned "daycare"; if you are a mom, even more empathy to you.  I, personally, have no issue with taking the pain meds if needed.  I sometimes break mine in half, just so I don't get that "fuzzy" feeling.  Hope you know you are not alone in this struggle.  Take care.  Amy

I've lived with chronic pain for years.  It is present every day.  I have also worked through this entire illness.  I have learned to live with it and tune it out as it seems a permanent part of life now.  Sometimes it's hard to do that.  I occasionally take ibuprofen but that's it.  I wish I had an answer for us.

Sorry to hear. Here's what I'm doing. If you can, take some advil. I can take this w/o causing more Lyme symptoms and it helps reduce the joint inflammation that is contributing to the pain. When at its worst, take 4 to 6 over the course of the day.

For the foot pain, I switch to extra strength tylenol and prop up my feet at night while I sleep. Apparently, Lyme can cause heal pain due to inflammation of the plantar tendon I think...I'm sure someone knows exactly what it's called.

You can try fish oil supplements to help lubricate the joints. Exercise is really good to keep the muscles around the joints strong and improve mobility. I have some OA -- 10 years too soon -- so this Lyme may have precipitated and accelerated it. There's no way to know for sure unless someone can test for it and most Rheumatologists don't bother with Lyme (like ID docs and many neuros).

Regarding the memory, try not to worry about it. Just read a report that worry makes your memory worse. The study tested folks who thought their memory was faulty and compared their scores to the tests they took after they were TOLD (falsely) their memory was faulty and it was pretty self-fulfilling! Just a thought.

Feel better. Get some rest. Prop up those feet!

sorry to hear you are in a lot of pain but yes - hip pain etc; is something I notice - gets a lot worse from being on my feet - bending etc;

lots of folk with lyme get terrible hip pain - I have read many stories of people thinking they would need 'hip replacement' ops. - where the pain was so bad - but have improved greatly on abx.

9 hours on your feet - working - can be hard going for a 'healthy' individual! - I realise you wouldn't be doing it unless it was a necessity - just wanted to say 'I feel for you' - I hope you can get some rest and some relief.
