I'm new to this site would like to help and to have friends, also need help in useing this site lol ty for all ur help
As a first step, I'd suggest you get copies of all your tests done already, not summaries, but the full lab results, whatever the doc has in your file. Some labs give details, some give summaries, and it the more data the better. Your future docs will be helped by having this historical data, and waiting till later to ask for it can too often mean you don't get copies of everything.
So it sounds like LabCorp did your ELISA and W. Blot tests. "Equivocal" means it could or could not be a positive reaction, as I understand it (and I am not medically trained.)
Band 41 may or may not be Lyme, but Band 23 is positive for Lyme. Some MDs will not diagnose Lyme unless a minimum number of bands is present ... but I've been told that after a period of time has passed since first infection, the test results trail off regardless of the continuing infection.
I am not familiar with 'legacy vista blood bank' or their testing. Many Lyme specialists rely on IGeneX labs in California to do Lyme testing for a number of reasons. If your PCR testing was not done by IGeneX, then it may or may not be reliable. I don't know.
None of these tests is perfect, and it takes an experienced Lyme doc to interpret the tests in view of your symptoms and history. The symptoms you had when you were told you have 'fibromyalgia' are important information for a doc to have as part of your history. Fibro is a catch-all diagnosis, I have read, when the docs don't know what else to say.
Lyme is everywhere, including leafy Indiana, and the ticks that may sleep under the snow in winter are also known to live on animals to survive the winter.
It's also possible you have other diseases that ticks carry; I read that perhaps half of all ticks with Lyme also carry other diseases that need separate testing and treatment from Lyme.
My best suggestion is to find a Lyme specialist for an evaluation. CALDA is the California Lyme disease association, and if you search for them on line, they may have some leads for you on a Lyme specialist in your area, or if no one is in the central valley, then you may have to trek to LA or the Bay Area.
Best wishes to you --

Sorry, I thought you were in Fresno CA ...
