My appetite has not increased and no weight gain

Hey again ladies, I am 16 weeks and to date my appetite is still very minimal. I eat but have to force myself. I dont have to eat a morsel until 10am but once in a while i get hungry late in the evening. I havent put on any weight since the pregnancy, actually I lost a few pounds. Now I'm not complaining, cause I dont mind maintaining my weight lol but my Obgyn was concernedon my last visit. However, those of you who are further along, have you had this appetite experience?

Hun I know the feeling. At first I was starving all the time but now I have to force myself to eat. The difference is that I get hungry but once I start eating I either get too full too fast (after a few bites) or I get a little queasy and dont want it. I actually had good news..since I am heavy to start with and was gaining weight rather fast this pregnancy..it was good to hear at this visit that I didnt gain a single pound since my last visit a month ago. I think every pregnancy is different and it depends on the person. As long as the lil one is growing and thriving I think you are good to go   =)

i think part of it depends on weight pre-pregnancy. i remember a family friend who actually lost weight during all three of her pregnancies, and her babies turned out just fine:)

my appetite had a substantial increase for a few weeks but it seems to be more leveled out these days. if i haven't snacked enough during the day, i definitely get the late night hunger. most mornings i don't wake up feeling like i have to eat right away. i'll just start out slow with a fruit and yogurt smoothie.. then gradually eat more.

just listen to your body and know it is doing everything just right for your baby. the amount of calories the baby needs, he/she is surely getting. a few pounds isn't too big a deal, i lost some too, but have now gained it back and then some. the last month has been the most weight gain for me. now at 20 weeks. i am sure you will see a difference on the scale at your next appointment. xo
