First ultrasound

I have my first US on Thursday. I will be six weeks, anyone else have their first US yet? I'm anxious and hoping eveything is ok

Yes- I had my first ultrasound which was the one that determined I was 6w 4d. I had been having pains on my left side so my doctor wanted to make sure everything was ok, and indeed it was, there was my little peanut :).  I was sooo super scared before mine too! And sure enough there was the babies strong little hearbeat and man what a relief!

haven't had US yet.I'm 7 wks.Will probably have one in a few weeks.I want to see if the baby is really there. Sometimes i think maybe there's nothing there.lol

Ohh congratulations on the news of twins.  I would love to have twins.  Pregnancy is so precious and twins it's double. :-)

Hi, I am due on the 17th of March. Just had my first ultrasound last week... 2 heartbeats and 2 babies. Wow, I'm having twins. One was slightly smaller so I have to have another ultrasound next week, at 9 weeks..in case of vanishing twin. Anyone else found out they are having twins?

I also had a missed m/c in March. Wow that happened to alot of us at the same time. My first ultrasound is today at 6weeks3days. I am sooo nervous but you ladies are making me feel a little better about it. I think my nerves are due to the fact that I have not had a good ultrasound in a very long time. The last good one was with my daughter at 28 weeks and that was in 2002. I will keep you all posted on how it goes

Yeah same here i had a missed mc in march as well. I go for my first appointment the 27th of july and i will have 500 questions. I also hope to get an us just to show me everything is ok.

so jelous,, in canada we dont get ultra sounds will like 20 weeks, but im really gonna push for one since i had a missed miscarrige in march.. i really wanna know everything is ok

I am so jealous, but happy for all of you that have gotten to see your little one.  I am a ways behind you all and I am only 4 weeks right now.  My first appointment isn't until Aug 5th when I am 6 weeks and I won't have an ultrasound unless I am having excessive cramping or any bleeding.  So I will have to wait it out until the gender scan to get to peek at our peanut!

I am 6 weeks 5 days and had my ultrasound today.... we saw and heard the heartbeat!! It was amazing.  Heart rate was 133 BPM... everything looks good, another ultrasound in 2 weeks!

The chances are very great to see and hear the HB. I also had the transvaginal and it picks up very good. I am anxious to hear how your u/s went. Keep us posted!

hey! seeing a heartbeat today is likely.. i have heard that with some women it takes a little longer to detect, but if they are doing a transvaginal on you, they will probably see the flicker on the screen. i am not sure about abdominal US and whether the hb would show on that one this early. looks like spiritwolf31 had hers show at 6w2d so chances are good.. have a great US today! :D

I had my first Ultra Sound this past Monday the 12th. I was at 6 weeks and 6 days. The lady doing it was so nice she sent me home with 2 pics and labeled (Baby) next to the lil bean shape! My boy friend came with and was so excited to see our baby! I had both the normal outside ultra sound and a transverse. They checked out my ovaries a lot as well because I had a cyst at the very beginning of my pregnancy and just making sure its gone, and it is! My babies heart beat was at 130 BPM and they said this is normal, so all is well. I go to my Dr again on the 22nd for another check up, cant wait to see what the next step is. Like the others said try to breath and relax and ask to take home a pic :) Let us know how it goes!!

I had my first u/s yesterday because my family doc had one done (not transvaginal) and I had to go yesterday to confirm that I was not having an eptopic pregnancy cuz the u/s my regular doc did couldnt see anything inutero. The u/s showed the baby in the uterus with a HB of 125 BPM and I am 6wks 2days. Everything will be fine.  Mmeriche has it right...take deep breaths and trust  =)

everything will be fine. :) i had my first US at 5 weeks 5 days, transvaginal. it was the hugest relief to see everything looked just as it should! i pray the same for you. i was so anxious before mine i even cried that morning, scared out of my mind! just take some deep breaths and trust that your body is doing everything right, and providing your baby with everything he or she needs.
