Age in weeks vs months??

So i took Bailey to the doctor's today for his 4 month needles, cause he's 16 weeks today. Then after he'd been weighed and measured the nurse looked at his birth details and said he's too young for his needles yet, he's only 3 & a 1/2 months old! I was like what, he's 16 weeks, he's 4 months isn't he? She said no, after the 6 week vaccinations they go by months, so he was born 3rd April, so he's 4 months on the 4th August. I thought that was really confusing, and even dumber for not knowing this! I'd even started giving him a few spoons of rice cereal, thinking he was 4 months and it would be ok. I must be well and truly out of the loop after 10 years lol.

Oh don't feel bad. I can understand the mistake. I'm kinda surprised that they didn't say something when you made his appointment. Kinda a bummer that you have to go back for them though.
