So annoying I had this long comment and it didn't even post ! Emma congrats he definitely sounds like a lil fighter and he will be just fine :))) I love how your future hubby was chatting with us way cute he should make an account and be apart of the group hahaha...so happy to hear that the bleeding has stopped and u r doing fine that was kind of stressful to read :/ sorry about the whole taking out your uterus mama but you have life to 4 healthy boys and I think that is an awesome gift....side note I really do think about how precious it is to be able to be preggers and birth a baby that's why for awhile I was thinking of being a surrogate or something but if I being preggers is hard and giving birth if I I go back and forth on it and making sure the baby is placed in a good home also I worry about..ugh I just read way to many stories about careless parents and how they don't take care of their babies like one couple I read about let their 5 month old baby die like what is wrong with people ugh just breaks my heart !!! ok lol there I go rambling...when do u go home emma
Emma my heart goes out to you. I'm glad you have some good support going through all this. I'm sure Degan is going to do great and be out of there in no time.
I wish I had some words of wisdom for you Emma. I imagine it's quite emotional having an emergency hysterectomy without any time to process. I'm glad you're ok. I'll keep praying for a quick recovery for you and strength for baby Degan
I can imagine. Have a book to read?
So exhausted but can't sleep.
Thank you ladies. Your words are comforting and giving me hope!
Im not sure how long ill be in here. To be honest I dont want to leave without Degan. They have me in bed rest right now due to surgery and have only gotten up once to go to the restroom and that about killed me.
Flick. Im here for you! One way to look at it is I won't have to buy tampons anymore lol yay! Just feels strange.. hasnt completely hit the way some say it might.
That'll be me next time- They'll be taking my uterus too. So you're just going to be my support and giving me all the tips and tricks :)
As for him having problems latching on, it will come. It took a bit for my cousin's son to learn how as well. He was born at 27 weeks. He is healthy and happy now. Your son will be as well. :) Keep up the good work!
So how long do you have to stay in hospital for? You must be sooooo sore, a c section and a hysterectomy! I was in a wheelchair for 2 days after my c section with teagan they had to keep wheeling me down to the nursery.
Just relax, your little bubs will be fine. On a lighter note, at least your birth control issues have been sorted out!
Such a cute name third! Makes me feed more comfortable now. They are encouraging me to pump. And I am. And trying with a small bottle. Has tubes for feeding.
this is so scary... wish he was still in my belly.. im so sore and totally exhausted. Im afraid to sleep and miss anything. My grandmother keeps trying to comfort me about everything and my hysterectomy but I just want her quiet. I dont want to come to grips my fertility is now gone. My focus is on my baby right now.
My daughter (who is called teagan!) didn't really have a problem with latching on, but she did get a few tube feeds for a while. I remember latching her onto the breast ok, and the nurses would tube feed or give a bottle if I wasn't there. But don't forget degan is still more premature than she was, so don't be too worried he is still so small and early and he will work it all out in time. I forget now when they say how old the baby is when they have their sucking reflex.
Third. Since your baby aas born early did she have trouble eating? They keep trying to give him a bottlebut not latching well to it
Hi ladies! Degan is doing well this morning. Still hooked up to machienes. Me on the other hand I ended up in surgery due to bleeding. They had to remove my uterus :( there goes my woman hood. But hey. Im alive!
Ill be back on in a few. Im gonna sit with Degan and talk to him. Thank you all for your prayers and support. ♥ you ladies!
Dave? Emma? Update? How'd surgery go?
Welcome to the world Degan. Congrats momma. Dave- with a c section, they basically open up and expose all our organs. They then stitch the uterus back together. Then they staple the skin together. If stitches internally got pulled or something that could complicate things and cause the blood loss. Stay positive. It's a major surgery- but everything will be great. She is a quick healer. :) She won't be able to pick up any weightfor 6 weeks. She is going to try n over do it but don't let her. And of course you are all in my families prayers. Congrats Pops!
My daughter was born at 33 weeks and weighed 4 lb, so I know how scary it is seeing them so small and in the incubator. But if he's healthy all will be good, he'll just spend a few weeks in the nicu. Hmmmm, not sure why she'd be bleeding heavily, normally you don't lose a lot of blood after a c section. Hope all is ok x
Im still trying to wrap my head around beong a father now. He is so small. Still in awe he is mine.
We are both excited he is ok. Both worried.
Emma's nurse came in to check on her and she was bleeding pretty heavy and sent her off for surgery. Isn't bleeding heavy normal after this? So much going on in the last few hours im a little overwhelmed at the moment.
And how are you doing? You'd be pretty sore wouldn't you? Your fiancé must be so excited!
This is Dave. Emma is having such a hard time right now. She was just taken unto surgery again to stop her bleeding after her c section.
Our baby is doing very well right now. Just thought I would up date you gals
Welcome to the world baby boy! Keep fighting you got this Degan! Hang in there Emma. Sending prayers.
Hes a fighter for sure. Thank you mizzz. Born 29 weeks 3 days. Feb 18 2014. Gonna be a sleepless night tonight
Omg!!!! Congrats, I'm sure he's going to be healthy and fine, will keep you all in my thoughts! So scary, yet so exciting!!!
Welcome to the world Degan! Keep on fighting and we'll keep praying for you!
