Went for a walk around a lake n lost more mucus plug....when I stand from sitting, rocking back n forth is the only way I am able to move at all.....having the worst lower back pain. Occasional contractions but no pattern and bh leaving me breathless just about with the tightness on my belly. Going to tell doc on Monday that Friday is when I want to be induced....still gives her plenty of time to come naturally.

Yay! So close!! Try rocking your hips when sitting or get on all fours and swing your hips side to side. Helps baby drop a bit. I'm so excited for you girl. Your day is almost here. Also try a warm soak.

Maybe try walking around the mall. The more active you are the more it'll encourage those contractions.

ouchy.....having a lot of BH and some random contractions. More little pieces of plug keep coming out, other than that...no change. Just hurting more..but she probably grew since her dd.

You should squat holding onto the side of the bed or couch and just kinda hand there (this will help baby move down). Also rocking back and forth on the edge of the couch or bed will help too to bring baby down.

They're weird cuz they were more like menstrual cramps than anything. So got sent home by doc. Have another appt on Mon if she hasn't arrived. 70% effaced and only 2 cm dilated. She stretched me out again....and omg that hurt. This time had some blood when she was done. Hopefully that will be a good sign as to soon. She says all the signs are there....so keep those fingers crossed. I am hoping not do deal with n induction.

Having weird contractions 5 min apart right now....have a dr appt in 2 hours going to that and let her check me so I don't have to go to l&d just to be sent home if its something she can send me down to l&d which is on the floor below her office.

Good to know. I hadn't heard of the gel, so I was gonna ask at my dr appt thursday. But sounds like don't need to.

Fingers crossed that tomorrow, my due date, brings a baby!

Well the gel induction was 10 years ago, and because i went to a different hospital this time they said they don't use that method anymore, so hence the drip. But i reckon the contractions definately felt the same, but thinking back, i reckon the gel was worse, but that could've just been me in shock because my first was c-section!!

Last week on Monday I was still dilated only to 1 and 50% effaced....I was so let down hearing that....I hadn't budged in over 3 weeks!

I appreciate your response third....do you have a preference to the gel or the pitocin?

Hi Flickan, I have been induced twice, once with the gel inserted, and this last time I was on the piticin drip. And both times no epidural! (But i asked for one, and apparently i was too far gone to get one). I've never had a natural birth, so i couldn't tell you the difference, but they say being induced definately makes the contractions more intense. But at least its quick! 4 hours and i was done. Best of luck to you and hope things aren't too far away :)
