A NEW WAY TO ABDUCT A FEMALE - VERY SCARY

This was sent to me by my mom and I wanted to share. I haven't checked snopes myself so if you find that it isn't true please let us know.

NEW RAPE SCAM!!!!PLEASE  READ!!!!!

Please pass on to all your girlfriends, wives, friends, etc.

Just to be on the safe side. Please be aware and pass it on to anyone you

think this will help.

Sunday afternoon around 5 PM I headed into the Target in Philadelphia,

Pa. where crime is VERY RARE and mostly it is with bikes being stolen!!  It

was still light outside and I parked fairly close to the entrance. As I got

out of my car and began walking toward Target, an older  lady shouted to me

from the passenger seat of a car about 30 feet away from me. "Ma'am you must

help me, help me please, help me Ma'am!"

I looked at her in the eyes and started to walk towards her when all of a

sudden I remembered an email my Mom had sent me a week or two ago about

rapists and abduct ions using elder people to lure women in.

I paused, memorized the license plate and immediately headed into Target to

get a manager to come help this lady, just in case something was up.

While the  woman manager headed out there, I kept a close watch just because

I was curious what was wrong with the lady and wanted to be sure nothing

happened. As the Target lady walked up towards the car and got very close to

the old woman in order to help her, the back door of the car flies open

and a large man with a stocking cap on, jumps out and sticks a gun to the

lady's stomach as he shoves her into the back of the car.

I yelled out "call 911" several times and just as I was saying that, a

policeman who happened to be on the other side of the parking lot, and who,

luckily had seen the entire thing happen, raced over to the car. He was

able to stop the car and arrest the male as well as the old lady, who was

involved in the scheme.

By God's grace everyone was all right,

including myself, although I think we were both shaken up.

Like many of you, I would not in a million years have left an elderly

person who was yelling for help if it weren't for the e-mail I had read last

week. So, I wanted to pass this along so you all can be aware and remember

that you really can't trust anyone these days.

You just never know when something like this could happen. I would have

never dreamed it to happen to me especially on a Sunday afternoon at a

Target in a safe  area!

It definitely was not a coincidence that my Mom sent that email  just a few

days before this all happened.  Please, be careful and always  be aware of

your surroundings.  Just because you individually don't go over to help

someone doesn't mean you have to leave them in trouble, but don't go

ALONE.  You really don't know what might be going on.

This  was checked with Snopes.com - this is true - and

they also use children to lure the victim!!

May as well share mine. Once, I was at a grocery store in grungywear, broad daylight, no makeup on for a quick run and kept getting eyed by a group of black men. They followed me from the produce section to the check-out and were standing behind me as I paid. I could feel their eyes on me and hear them talking about me. Even the guy at the counter looked at me like he felt bad, but did nothing. I booked it out of there as fast as I could. Thank god nothing happened, but I was so flustered and in a hurry to get into my car that I almost stepped in front of a car backing up. I've also met many creepy men on buses. One who kept trying to talk to me on a crowded bus when I had no where to go so I pretended to fall asleep. He proceeded to "accidentally" grab my butt and then followed me off the bus at my stop and suddenly there was another man who got off with him. I went to the nearest starbucks and hung out there for a while until I felt safe. I also had another incident where I was with my mom going for a hike in the park. When we pulled up to the parking lot, there was a group of guys in the car parked next to ours who pulled out a knife. Before I'd even turned off the engine we were out of there so fast! And two of those times I was in a supposedly safe non-metropolitan area.

Wow, interesting reading. Reading some of the posts here reminds me of a day I was alone waiting for the bus a year ago. Some stranger in a bike stopped and greeted me. Being polite I said hi and hoped he'd continue with his business. He started asking me for my name, wanted to know my age and then my phone number. I was a bit creeped out. When I said no he started telling me where he was from and that people greet strangers all the time and give their numbers. He claimed that's how people get to know each other. After some silent praying and ignoring, he eventually got back on his bike and left.
I couldn't have been more relieved when the bus finally did come and pick me up. Granted on a bike he couldn't do much, but if he had a car, it may have been worse.

Another time close to my home I was riding my bike to the other end of the block. Some guy in his car wanted me to "get over here". I quickly rode my bike past him, down a few streets and went back home.  There can be some really creepy people....

my aunt was kidnapped from a shopping mall near Christmas time about 15 years ago,,she was putting her many bags in the back seat a man approached indicated he had a gun and had her get in front seat....he drove forced her to perform a sexual act she began to vomit,,,he told her if she threw up he would kill her so she swallowed her own vomit. He took her to an apartment where she was repeatedly raped by three men.

after one day they took her to an area unknown to her and just pushed her out of the car..somehow she wound up at hospital..she doesnt know how..shes ok now but it took alot of therapy.

ladies be aware of your surroundings..carry your keys with one key between each finger its a good weapon.
throw your keys as far as you can if someone trys to make you get into a car with them.
never allow yourself to go from place A to place B because chances are quite high you will be raped and murdered...its better to take your chance on being shot in a parking lot .
so if the story by poster is not true..this one is..these men wher not caught and most likely did it again .always always be aware of your surroundings..look in all four directions before getting in your car. look into the back seat of your car before getting in.

If your instincts tell you something is wrong trust them...ask security to escort you to your car..they will

I recieved an e-mail from a nurse friend here in town, A lady followed her to different aisle in Walmart and asked to use her phone, she told the woman she had no phone. She walked away, then in the checkout she asked her if she could loan her money to make a phone call, the nurse ignored her. This woman followed her to her car just talking and next thing you know she grabbed her purse and ran. The nurse ran after her and was screaming there was a police officer at the enterance to the parking lot where they stopped a car for squealling the tires. The police got both the woman and the man , and
they were both arrested and the nurse got her purse back.  Several people were trying to help her.

It is the season, you can't be too careful. We need to have buddies and be aware of our surroundings at all times.

Oh! this won't be on snopes, this really did happen here in my town.

So, why WOULDN'T you check this CR@P out before posting OR believing it???

I can spot this bologna a MILE away.  It makes me hate the internet - it gives someone with too much time on their hands a way to make up stories a way to pass them around.  If someone HAD checked this out, they'd find that it's FALSE!!!!!!

Just use your judgement when you're out and about.  it's no reason to not go anywhere alone.  there are plenty of good people out there too.  human nature has been this way for thousands of years.  there are good people and not so good people all thrown together in the mix.  there's no point in getting all melodramatic over this story and proclaiming "oh how awful, what is the world coming to?"  that's a little ridiculous.  awful things happen every day as do joyful ones.  that's life.

Guys, read my above post. This was a made up story. You can check it out on Snopes.com. Sad that there are people out there that have nothing better to do than make up stories to scare people. There have even been stories about child abductions that were not true. Remember Penny? I forgot her last name. That was on Snopes too. Crazy world out there. What kind of sick person would make up stories like that?

But yes, you all are correct in that something like this COULD happen. However, I don't think we should live our lives in fear. The media already does a good enough job trying to scare us as it is.

The incident does sound a bit unbelievable but things like that do happen. Unnerving. One thing is that for anyone when they witness a crime call 911 and report it. If you think back to the 1964 murder of Kitty Genovese at any time people could have called and reported it and no one did. Of course they were not legally responsible but having overheard it societally they are to blame and many feel guilt and regret to this day. Last night (and my neighborhood is safe as are the people in it) I heard someone (at 2:30 A.M., my disability causes chronic insomnia) shout "get to the ground!" and the other person was screaming for help. I went to look out the window and then I stepped back because with what they were saying they might have been armed. I went right to the phone asap (in my case the TTY) and called 911 and explained where it was and they stated the police were sending someone right over. Has been known to work before and my question is why other average citizens at times don't get involved (although many do). If its just a matter of a phone call its not that much work and you might save someone's life. And the more of these people are brought before the law the less they will prey on other people. Generally makes sense. Criminals pull all kind of schemes and as technology improves they get better (such as spam sent to your computer with spyware that can harvest data on your credit cards) but crimes of this nature will always occur and although its up to the police to make the arrests its up to us to prevent them by letting them know..

if all law abiding citizens were allowed to carry concealed sidearms, this kind of thing would be rare. as long as criminals have easy, unarmed targets, such incidents will likely increase. i highly recommend being licensed to carry a concealed weapon to everyone that is responsible enough to do so. learn the weapon and be prepared to use it because the cops are rarely at the scene already. whenever this kind of thing occurs, it's usually someones daughter, mother or grandmother, but i can promise you someone like this will not be successful if i see it. take care,  gm

stuff like this is why i NEVER go anywhere alone. the last time i did was when i had to run to wal mart to pick up formula and rice cereal for the boys a few months back. i had on a t shirt, my baggy beach pants, my "ballet slipper and hair in a pony tail. wedding/engagement rings on, no makeup. just had to run out real quick. so when i got there i was walking to the back of the store where the baby stuff was and this guy (normal looking average joe....somewhere between 27-30. not old, not young. not fat but not super skinny. just a normal guy) was in the aisle with me. it seemed like he was having problems picking out formula so i figured i'd be nice and give him a hand. (i'd already grabbed my boys formula and cereal) i asked him the basics. how old was his child. did he remember if s/he had to use regular, soy, easy on the tummy...etc etc etc. so after about 5 minutes i helped him figure out what kind of formula he was supposed to get. that was it right? nope. so i figured while i was there i'd pick up some stuff hubby and i needed. shampoo, face wash and i needed more shaving cream. so i headed to that area. i was picking out what i needed and when i looked up that same guy was there. ok maybe he needed to pick up some extra stuff as well. no big deal. i just smiled and started to walk away. so guy started to talk to me. ok whatever right? he did the basic how old are you? married or single? how many kids? innocent enough questions. so we just get in the same line. i'm starting to get a bit freaked out. so after i check out i'm heading to my car. guy follows me. he says oh here's my number. maybe we can go out sometime. i say "no thanks. i'm married. i don't go out with strange men." i start to walk away. he actually reached out and grabbed my arm!!!! so i completely freaked but kept my cool. i remembered some of the self defense moves greg taught me so i used them. the guy ended up falling on his a$$ and i was able to run away. i got to my car (thank god for electronic locks!) started it up and drove away. the end of it right? you'd think so. i was sitting at a red light by a gas station by my house. i look in my rear view mirror and who was RIGHT BEHIND me? creepy guy. so i made the right and pulled into the gas station parking lot. cops are ALWAYS there. so i get out and run inside. i tell the cop what happened and he goes outside. creepy guy didn't follow me. i still don't know who he was or where he went.

so i will NOT go anywhere alone. nowhere, no way , no how!

Oh I know! I have a very pretty teenage daughter who just got her license! It scares me in a way that she has more independence but I also know I have to let her go and pray and trust God to take care of her. But I'm constantly warning her to park under lights, be near people, be aware of her surroundings, etc. I think I worry more about her than I did my son when he was a teenager, even though she's probably a little more responsible and mature! Isn't that the way it goes?!

Like I said my mom sent it to me and I thought well I know I am fixing to head to a meeting so I will post and warn people I haven't checked it first just in case it is false. Thank you for taking the time to read it and check it out yourself.

I do take more caution when I am in public alone. I have a ex-boyfriend that would constantly tell me to be aware is to be alive.  That just stuck with me so when I am in public I am aware of my surroundings. I am aware of most of the people around me and from my psychology class I have learned how to take a part of someone's face and use it to remember them by.

I love it when they say this has been checked out with Snopes.com and that it's true, lol. Do they think we can't go to Snopes ourselves and check it out?
Ok, yes this story is false but still it's good to be cautious in parking lots or anywhere, especially as a woman alone. We do need to remember that.
Here's the link to Snopes to verify this story is false. It's always a good idea to check out all forward emails, especially ones that are scare tactics. I check them all out anymore. I don't believe anything anymore until I can check for myself. I used to be a lot more naive and believed it all until my husband showed me how to check them all out. It still amazes me that people take the time to make up stories like this. Oh well, it's still good to be cautious. Anyway, here's the link to look up the story yourself.
