Soak feet, apply warm olive or castor oil, wear socklets to bed and let them soak overnite! Soft as a babies butt I tell ya!
definatly it also works for sores on a mouth ...
good stuff here-------- I am wondering what you think would work on cracks on the heels of the feet. Painful and they get worse as I age.
In London years ago , met a jewish lady, she was lonely and she would feed us , she made a horrible sweet and sour mackeral, yuck...but she also showed me how to make the best thing for a cough and sore throat, she sliced up onions finely put them in a dish and put sugar on them , left them to form a liquor, a few hours later you could drink this ,not bad tasting liquor , yup it did help with a sore throat... I like little old jewish recipes ...
The vinegar adds great shine to people with brown or darker tints, but warning! If your blonde and fair make sure u use the white vinegar! I found this out when my hair started taking on yellow and red tones with the red vinegar! ROFL! Lesson learned!
And using beer is great for setting your hair and adding shine. Yep! the smell evaporates thank god!
Speaking of tightening around the eyes, has anyone ever heard of using preparation H around the eye area before going to bed? Works like a charm! I mean, think about it, is shrinks things right!
And mineral oil or olive oil for removing makeup works great too and is soooo much cheaper than those expensive creams.
hey you just jogged my memory with the egg white , try it ,it does work, dab some egg white under your eyes where those elusive bags' hang out ,, it actually tightens the skin ,you can feel it...humm wonder if it'll tighten my thighs ..take a few dozen eggs but I may try it ...lol.
Ginger, honey and, 1 sliced of lemon mix together with lukewarm water is a good cold remedy to cure a sniffle, sore throat, and bad cough. I use it all the time whenever I feel a cold or flu is coming on. It works best at the early stage of a flu or cold.
Also for all moms out there who has little ones "egg white" is great for bump rash. A nurse recommended me this and it works like a miracle.
When I lived at the beach my toes and feet were soooo cute, I found that the sand had an abrasive action on them, and the sea water was healing, now I am not exactly on the beach and what with gardening they are a mess, so maybe in the old Brit way I will give them Tea .....lol
Thank you for this one,I am dealing with one of those yucky toes at the moment using an anti-fungal tincture,it doesn't seem to be doing much,I think I'll try the tea.
Have you ever known someone with that thick nasty toenail fungus that leaves the nails looking thick and icky. Soaking your feet in a cheap instant tea mix a couple times a week, will kill it. Restoring your toes and feet to sandal wearing shape again.
chewing gum whilst peeling onions will stop you from 'crying' ....Ketchup was sold in the 1830's as medicine ...Most lipstick contains fish scales ...ewwwww these 3 little titbits are true ...
I rinse my hair after I've washed it in brown vinegar diluted with water,it also makes it very shiny.
My grandmother used to make a concoction for coughs-treacle,sugar and butter mixed to a paste,it seemed to help and tasted great too,we'd eat a teaspoon full before bed.
I added malt to my childrens bottles to help with constipation.
A bit of Kyro syrup added to a child's milk will cure constipation.
My mom used to collect rain water in a bucket and rinse my very long hair in it, she said it would soften it ,I would insist she checked the water for bugs first, she also would rub a piece of silk over my hair to give it a sheen ...
Well this one has nothing to do with natural ingredients, but did you know automatic dishwashing detergent is great for cleaning flip flops! Especially lighter colored and white ones.....
Also, for the moms with little ones. Putting a small amount of clorox in the bathwater will cure things live poison ivy and oak, no more doctors visits.
okay here's a couple Raw potatoes soothe minor burns ..wash the spuds cut up and press on the burn can bring instant relief .of course I hasten to add, if it is a bad burn bigger than 2 inches ,hop off to the Doc ...For Nausea, car sickness, sea sickness, Ginger works, a couple of cups of ginger tea, a ginger Ale ,that has natural ginger , I have in fact sailed through storms chewing on raw ginger, it really works .
