Anyone watch Nightline tonight?

I just saw their feature on the Amazon tibes. Wow.  I found it impressive. Maybe we have it all backwards with our sense of happiness, etc...

What really hit me was towards the end of the feature when they showed what the other people are doing and the last of one of the tribes, what was left after rancers killed them off and took their land.

Thanks. It's just when I'm talking about washing pots on the keyboard, I'm not DOING the washing, lol. When I'm on here I can't be somewhere else and when I'm somewhere else I can't be here. Okay I can have over 50 tabs open per window (opera) and have about 5 windows open,. It looks like I'm in 100 places at a time, and maybe logged in "online" in about 5 of those, but I _Still_ can only look at one site at any given time.

So much for "multi-tasking" I don't do multi-task...

Oh well I did wash a bunch of pots today...  They are sitting in a laundry basket waiting to be dried off...  I still have the leaning violets of Piza that need to be lopped off (the crown part) and repotted...

That process always makes me nervous. Basically you are decapitating the poor thing and planting the head in fresh soil.

That's how you grow african violets and don't get those leggy tall palm tree like things that you may often see in homes, but not on the net or in the stores...

Others aren't that badly neglected, but they are still growing in solo cups and they are about full size standards...  That means they dry out too frequently and tip over readily.  A great majority are ones I planted from seed (pollenated them) and now are growing to adult size and some are blooming.

I guess we are straying from the topic, but since it's mine I have a right to do so. =P

Nothing wrong with potting some plants.......lots of people talk to plants.  They don't respond either though.........so don't get discouraged.

Are you kiddin' me?!  You wrote, "No one? No one watched it tonight? I find that hard to believe. Could you have watched it but afraid to post? I guess I'll give up trying to get people to post here.... Bye. "

My God!  It sounds like you're taking your ball and going home!  Just b/c no one was responding to one of your posts does NOT mean it's personal!  I don't happen to watch Nightline....and apparently, either not alot of people on here do either, or they just didn't want to post about it, OR they didn't see the episode in question.

Don't worry LW it's not because of you I'm taking a break. It's because try as I may, even with the best intentions, I can get caught up in a community and it becomes sort of an addiction...  So I need to step back and do some other things neglected that need to be done such as wash a ton of pots for my plants, repot some things, do some writing/art, etc...

Nightline is on ABC. (channel 4 in our area) We don't have cabel... In fact we have old fashened "rabbit ears"  I think we do have a converter coming along the way...so that shall be interesting when the digital switch occurs....
