I also got a large green teddy bear I loved , in our travels as a military brat my stuff got left all over the place, I dont know what happened to him....boo hoo
My favorite gift I received was a big stuffed bear I got when I was 3. We have a home video of it and my face lit up when I saw it and I would take that bear with me everywhere. I took it on vacation and slept with it at night. I loved that bear and recently gave a bear like it to my cousin's little girl, who is 2 and she loved it as well.

We used to get fresh fruit put in our stockings, during the year any fruit that was bought was for the adults,I used to steal fruit lol
So it was good to get fruit at Christmas,I couldn't get in trouble for stealing then.
I remember every one of my dolls from childhood LOL There was Betsy-Wetsy & Chatty Kathy & Patti Play-Pal & a bigLittle Red Riding Hood. Little women was the best.
Was a large walking doll I called her Rosebud ...also books, my favorite 'Little Women '
The year was 1957 Christmas Eve, My Father ask that I go to the store with him (unusual)
I now know to get me out of the house. In my family we always got one gift on Christmas Eve. When we returned from the store there under the Christmas tree was the most beautiful doll-house I had ever seen! But what made it really special was that my father had made it himself-three stories, six rooms and My Dad even made the furniture, and my mother, a seamstress had upholstered the couch & chairs, made every curtain in the windows. Even crocheted the rugs on the floors! How I cherished that doll-house and having my parents who cared enough to make Christmas special for us.
