foodnetwork . com has some good ideas if you would want to look around there.
I love American Meatloaf never heard of it till I came to the states, I have made several kinds and there are tons of recipes out there going back to Granmas, ones. For desert My English Trifle goes down a treat and its unusual here.
Thanks guys...I usually go with a meal...Just looking for new ideas...Sometimes I do like london broil sliced up potatoe salad, green salad...I did fried chicken a couple of years...Just looking for new ideas...I was thinking of going with a sub...Everybody likes them...I think I go over board on planning it........
usually when my family or i do parties we go all out on food. we don't do snacks we do the meals. if you're looking for something like that...hamburgers and hotdogs, rigatoni, cabage rolls, macaroni salad, potato salad and stuff like that. we usually also have a fruit tray/salad, veggie tray, cheese and cracker tray along with assorted cookies and sweets.
sandwich rings are good one as well. we do those sometimes to.
Are you looking for snack food ideas or more of a menu or meal plan? Heavy hors devours or light? (I don't even know if I spelled that right!)
I usually serve heavy hors devours, like a nice veggie tray with dip, meatballs simmering in the crockpot, shrimp with cocktail sauce, cheese, salami and crackers with spicy mustard, fancy cookies or lemon bars, etc., chips and salsa, fancy nuts, maybe some chocolate covered strawberries, yum! I switch things around sometimes and try new things. I serve soda, ice tea or lemonade, sometimes wine. I put them all on nice trays or pretty bowels and light candles all over the house. Hm, can't think of anything else at this point. Have fun at your party!
hey crabby I found that those giant 6 foot subs always go excellent at partys, not any more expensive to buy than it would be to make so I order them just a basic italian 6 foot sub, have them put onion and jalepeno peppers on the side incase some dont like, then you could just serve some premade potatoe salad, coleslaw, buy a large tra of cookies or brownies for dessert
