Fit to be Tied


   My grandmother use to say "I'll bet he was fit to be tied!" does anyone know where this came from or means exactly, besides the fact that he was mad?

Well, Swampy found an old web page that says it comes from the practice of putting uncontrollable people into straitjackets.

However, Swampy can't verify the accuracy of that.

h ha I have heard it on the movies..didnt John Wayne say it a few times ...I like it though maybe I can put it on a tea party sign....lOL
