Wow i seem to be a late starter 2002 dial up then moved very quickly to cable

I think it was 1993.  We had dial up, and I remember thinking how fast.  That is, until DSL came along, and then cable modem.... LOL

1998---it was dial up....unfortunately, my little hick town still has DIAL up...so those memories are NOT VERY OLD...about a couple seconds...LOL

They offer high speed...but my dial up is still pretty quick, compared to what it was back in 98

I was on the internet BEFORE there was an internet, back in the late 80's early 90's when it was all call up individual BBS's running at 300/1200/2400 baud speed.

I remember the day they first offered free internet access (AOL, I think?) and so many people called in it crashed the system. That was...92? Not quite sure.

I knew that was the beginning of the end for the world...

1997 ... it was a dial up modem and had to keep trying at least 20mins to connect thru AOL to a local acess #

Remeber ......way back then if you were online your phone was busy?!
