Question of day-little different

This is a question from me...trying to get opinions...

to make a very long story short...

I have endrometrosis. i was taking a drug called lurpon but every time I took it few days later I would stop breathing due to my throat swelling and tongue swelling and body spasms. Took an allergy test and I am allergic. So the lurpon is done...and not I am in crazy pain...along with other issues. I am depressed and confused about what to do. I started a job yesterday and today I realize due to the pain and bleeding I can not do the job.....

I am to the point I want a hysterectomy? is this too extreme?

Has your doctor given you the option to go in and surgically clean out the endometriosis ?  I was a complete mess with endometriosis and the doctor did surgery. He lasered out all the cysts, tumors and endometriosis seeds. If your wanting to have children this is the best route.  I later had a hysterectomy due to fibroid, but the endometriosis never returned.  If your finished having children the hysterectomy might be the way to go.

I had surgery for endometriosis years back and due to unbearable lower back pains. It got to the point where I couldn't lift anything. A hysterectomy is drastic, but endometriosis is ovaries. This is a decision that only you can make and if you continue with pain, discuss all of your options and treatment with your gyne, who is best to diagnose and treat...good luck...Judy

NO not at all. I had a hysterectomy for the same reason. endometriosis amoung severe scar tissue. I am so much happier now that I have had my hysterectomy and don't have to be in pain anymore!!

Please also post this on the hysterectomy forum so you can get other's opinions there as well.
