look everybody; this is a post to advise people who are on medical treatment; i see possible trouble ahead and tried to advise the movement compromised; please on this post don't express your political whatever you think; i tried to give some perspective to people who rely on medical supplies and don't have the energy to stand in the soup line, if there is going to be one.
ciao
What we should do is go back to a multiple party system, which was intended from the beginning. Just off the top of my head I'd suggest changing how candidates are able to access funds for running for office.
Make all donations go into one large financial pool; then dole it out equally among the candidates for each party. Have equal advertising and television debate time.
Or just eliminate the party system all together (yes, I know, good luck with that).
As of right now, we have a two party system and I see VERY little difference between each party (or, there has been very little for decades). I'm not talking about the high PR oriented items here, like abortion or prayer in school, I'm speaking about the laws passed that are actually the nuts and bolts that make this country run. In that respect, both parties have followed very similar policy.
NPR is not even close to being balanced. Some programs are but the majority of them are not.
For just stricly the news, watch Fox News with Sheppard Smith. He gives just news. Has been proven to be the most fair and balanced news coverage. Like I said he gives just the news and nothing else.
So, Vance...you would only have 1 party? There are countries where you can live that have governments set up that way.
My a$$ started getting big in the Clinton days, too...but I don't blame him for it.
Personally, I prefer National Public Radio for a balanced, in depth commentary as opposed to say Rush Limbaugh.
Peekawho-This started in the Clinton days. if you would like I can post a nice link to a law that was repealed that has helped cause this financial mess. I am not blaming Clinton, just said it started back with him and continued.
President Bush has been in office for almost 8 years, but democrats have controlled Congress for 2. So you need to see that yes President is republican but congress is democrats. Democrats make laws and pass budgets, the President only signs the laws.
And things are much worse because you listen to the media too much.
Clinton hardly caused this mess. We've had almost a decade now of Republican 'leadership" to try to solve the problems...things are much, much worse off now than ever.
I do agree that Obama will not solve anything. I don't believe McCain can, either. I'm not sure that anything will help, at this point.
If you think Obama is going to solve problems then you will be in for a rude awakening. Financial problems date back to the Clinton days and continued through Bush.
If you want real change you need to vote out most of Congress.
Interesting post ,we'll have a new government in soon lets hope they do better for us than this last bunch.
