Will you wear blue??

Blue Fridays.

Very soon, you will see a great many people wearing blue every Friday. The reason? Americans who support our troops used to be called the 'silent majority' We are no longer silent, and are voicing our love for God, country and home in record breaking numbers. We are not organized, boisterous or overbearing.

Many Americans, like you, me and all our friends, simply want to recognize that the vast majority of America supports our troops. Our idea of showing solidarity and support for our troops with dignity and respect starts this Friday -- and continues each and every Friday until the troops all come home, sending a deafening message that every red-blooded American who supports our men and women afar, will wear something blue. By word of mouth, press, TV -- let's make the United States on every Friday a sea of blue much like a homecoming football game in the bleachers. If every one of us who loves this country will share this with acquaintances, coworkers, friends, and family, it will not be long before the USA is covered in BLUE and it will let our troops know the once 'silent' majority is on their side more than ever, certainly more than the media lets on. The first thing a soldier says when asked 'What can we do to make things better for you?' is .'We need your support and your prayers.' Let's get the word out and lead with class and dignity, by example, and wear something blue every Friday.

I recieved this in an email and wanted to pass it along.  This is not meant in any way to be a political debate post.  Just meant for those who do support our troops to spread the word.  If you don't, disregard.
You can check my journal for the full email.

Thanks for clearing that up, I like the idea of wearing red white and blue. I will be buying a couple pairs of blue dress pants and a few more red ties to go with my white shirts.

No, this is not an act to get our troops home before the job is done.  This is an act to let our troops know that we support, appreciate, and are thankful for what they are doing for our country.  This includes all our troops, the ones abroad and at home.

Check out the official website if you would like more info on it...

Having a son and DIL in the military I have to ask, does till the troops come home, mean that we cut and run or until the job is done? My son and DIL both are willing to lay their life on the line for us and you know I am one proud Dad, but if this effort means we don’t finish what was started and they will have to go back and face even more danger or the danger comes here then NO I will not support this. If it means we are sending a message to the troops we support what they believe in and we support the “war on terror” and want an America where the terrorist know they dare not tread them I am so in.

I hope that your husband is doing well.  I think it's great in the way you support your husband and our troops.  Thank you to you and your husband!!!!!!!!!  Hopefully this will be a way for us civilians to show the military we're behind them.

I believe it is meant to be a blue shirt.  But, I say anything blue you wear is good.  It's mainly the thought behind it that counts in my opinion.  So, if you wear blue shoes and someone ask or mentions your shoes you can tell them you're wearing them in support of our troops!!

I also wear blue jeans. I have some blue on my shirt and sneakers as well. Would these things count, or must you wear all blue?
