Your experiences, facts and opinions please

I have a question which brought me here.  My cousin has these pimples on her ***, all over, she has a in your face kind of butt like the big butt song, anyway, she said she had them all her life, and she come over, sat on my furnature, slept in my daughter's bed, and every since then, I have had things biting me, and my dog, and making my family itch.  It could be pin worms, and I wonder with now money, being laid off, what household remedy can I use to get rid of them.  They are everywher, even in my carpet.  Can't see a thing though, they are in my bed because my dog came upstairs and slept on my bed, and in my closet.  Now I'm misrable.  I just read the pinworm thing, and it says that dogs don't have human pinworms, so what could it be?  I plan to do the tape test, it could be bed bugs?  Can dogs be bothered by what other things that are passed to humans or live in, on, furnature, beds, cloth chairs, on paper, etc.  I have had this problem now for over a year, and every time the cousin comes over it gets worse.  I vaccum sometimes 3 times a day.  I am allergic to almost everything there is.  And what can steralize hard surfaces to kill pinworm, (if that is what it is) and on furnature.  My husband doesn't want my house smelling like garlic. there is a spray that supposedly kills many things.  Does vinagar work, he doesen't want vinagar either, he can't stand it.  Can you have such a bad pin worm infestaton that they are in your eyes, nose, mouth, on your feet, etc, everywhere?  They are not scabies, because I was checked.  can pinworm get in your head hair too?

Sounds like fleas to me. I think it is just coincidental that your cousins visit and the timing of these itchy bites is the same. Being summer over there, fleas breed real fast and you can get thousands with in days. The fact your dog slept in your bed is also a good hint at fleas. You often won't see them but they love to bite especially at night. If you do happen to see one they are very small and brown in colour and jump off anything very powerfully.
Buy yourself a flea bomb (it's in a can) take everyone out of the house for a couple of days and the dog. Let the flea bomb off, then vac the house, wash all the bedding in VERY hot water, put it all in the dryer on the hottest setting and buy your dog   a flea collar!
Pin worms are in your intestine and are never on the body, except near your bottom.

First, I think I would take cousin to doc to get her diagnosed to make sure of what you are dealing with. Then, I would move!

Shower each morning to remove pinworm eggs from the body. A shower is preferable to a bath, because there is a possibility of pinworm contamination from eggs floating in the bath water. Clean the shower thoroughly after use.

Step
2Clip fingernails short to prevent the likelihood of pinworm eggs becoming trapped under the fingernails.

Step
3Wash hands regularly with soap and warm water. Remember to wash hands after using the bathroom, before touching your face and before touching food.

Step
4Wash all clothing in warm or hot water. Pay special attention to wash underclothing, which is commonly contaminated with pinworm eggs. Wear disposable gloves when handling clothing to prevent hand contamination.

Step
5Wash all bedding in warm or hot water. Do not shake bedding or you could release pinworm eggs into the air where they could be inhaled. Wear disposable gloves when handling bedding to prevent hand contamination.

Step
6Vaccum and mop all floors daily.

Step
7Wash walls and counter surfaces with warm water and a mild soap.

Step
8Clean toilet seats after every use

did a search hope this helps

One of the best cleaners of all times is also one of the cheapest I DO NOT know if it works for pinworm..but 10% bleach w 90% water mix is effective against bacteria, and most pathogens, and at that ratio should be safe for all surfaces  topically except fabric,,,,if washing clothes in very hot water kills head lice I would assume it kills worms too agian not certain.
