My thoughts on this is 1.) why can't they transport him to another location away from civilization and 2.) how in the heck can a elephant hide from them?

Elephants are strong, smart, and have great memory.

If they start thinking its okay to kill people, that is what they will do.

There is no outcome that isn't profoundly sad.

I'd say it's been spooked by humans and now sees them all as predators. Elephants can kill. They use their trunks to pick up and smash people. Poor thing is probably running all over the place looking to find its way back home.

That is my thought exactly, elephant's are normally docile animals when left alone and treated right. I wish they would relocate and not kill this animal.

I agree, how does an elephant hide from people and disappear.

That's horrible. I doubt it's the elephants fault at all. More than likely, the people are living in the elephants territory and natural habitat and upsetting the natural order of it's life! I highly doubt the elephant is purposely going out on a "man-hunt", if it was a cougar hey i could believe it since they eat meat, but an elephant? yeah right, it probably side stepped on a couple people.

They should shoot the elephant with a tranquilizer and then relocate it to an environment where there will be no human interference
