I watched some of it, it was very touching and I hope they did very well, I dont know anyone who hasnt donated one way or another, its a good thing, did you see the pics of the 22year old being pulled out after 10 days ..poor people ...I have heard that there is a problem looming with the fact so manyof the adoption agencies, are trying to rush through adoptions of the children and it could cause them to be displaced from Family who have survived, whilst its lovely to give these children a home I am not certain after this Trauma they should be rushed into the US on the fast route...
yea it was CRAZY to watch them pulling the people out alive and OKAY!... i was fighting back the tears it was just so amazing......and yesterday they pulled out TWO more people who were alive!....just a miracle.... but now i hear they are stopping looking for new survivors. now the focus is on helping the ones that have survived.
And, they're having a tough time attending to the medical needs of the survivors.
Many are going untreated... and are left to die due to limited medical medical staff
and supplies... it's all so heartbreaking!
OMG and I thought that a load of med supplies had got through now , I heard Israel had set up a state of the art hospital ....
I must say that some of the stories brought tears to my eyes . . . the story of the mom hearing her two year olds cries and her desperation to get him out . . . and after 50 hours he was. He was injured and his eyes unfocased until he saw his mother . . . that just made me really think what it must be like there for those poor people.
It sounds so desperate there . . . the tiniest wound can turn into a deadly infection. They will need help for a long time.
yea they will need serious help, and the survivors are going to get REALLY sick with infection from the bodies everywhere. i talked to my neighbors and she talked to some of her family there and they are saying it STINKS.... the smell is so bad that people cant breathe... also she told us that they had found her brother, but he was badly hurt. when i asked her about him yesterday she told me that he was so hurt and there is nothin that can do for them there that they just buried him....buried that man alive, because no medical attention. so heart breaking..... the airports are not accessable for leaving or incoming flights right now..... i heard they raised like 60 millions from the hope for haiti?...anyone hear anything?
