Hmmm....if given the choice, I'd like to live longer, simply because I'd love to see my children's babies grow up and have babies of their own. I just want to be there for them, and be part of their lives for as long as I can. I don't think 70-100 years is enough to do all the things we'd like to do. And out of all the things that would make me want to live longer, I believe my family would be the number one reason. ;)
Can you just imagine what we would look like at 1000. I am going downhill fast at my age now! Besides, I am not sure the world is going to last a 1000 years! Scared!
Its been said a million times that people are living longer, but the fact is they are kept alive longer all of us are, take away antibiotics and asthma machines no operations at all a lot of us young and old wouldnt be here.To the most part old people in nursing home and very ill people are kept alive with drugs. We are not living longer, just kept alive longer.
I have been ill since i was a child, without antibotics i would be dead now,or brain damaged.you dont have to be terminally ill to die of medical problem.
No one wants to die, but that is apart of life. I would love to see my grandbabies have babies, and that may happen to me. But I don't want to live my old days in a nursing home or hooked up to a machine, or in contance pain that can't be controlled, so no I don't want to live to be 1000 or even 100....
i am sick and tired of the firsst 47 who wants 1000??????????????
His article sounded interesting , but I agree ,this is a nutty thread ,,,,I'll look for something more relevant, he is very serious though reckons once cancer can be cured its a matter of 7 types of damage being done to our cells.
