At least with all the rain there's plenty of water for a good long backwash. Longer is better.
Yes, I'm learning backwashing is the trick. A friend came by tonight and looked at our pool. He said he backwashes every second day for 5 min., and rinses for 1 min. I would backwash for 2 min and rinse for 15 sec., so I am going to increase my time and frequency. Hope this is going to make a difference.
I feel that way too. Today I finally got mine the way I like it - only took a month! Glad its up and running for the holiday weekend, though!
I hope yours clears up. Keep on backwashing!
Hubby said the rain will do that - so be sure to check the ph and water hardness too. Good luck!
The pool is in ground with a vinyl liner, and we have been geting a fair bit of rain lately. I will check the ph level. Every year I swear I'm going to bulldoze it, then it eventually clears and I love it.
Check your ph. If you have had a lot of rain lately the ph is probably low. You can get ph increaser at the pool supply place.
Frustrating, isn't it! Good luck.
Used to have one in Florida but have a big yard here I was going to put a pool in then prices of everything shot up,the husband says No to it, so we still have to put sod down, we moved here several months ago, too late to sod it till fall I guess its too hot now and we may get mandatory watering soon.So Sorry I got waylayed I am not certain what your answer will be to a cloudy pool ...we didnt get that in Florida.
Is this above ground or in-ground and is it vinyl lined? My hubby used to be in that business and so he asked me those questions.
