I haven't been to too many places.... ever...... so I am going to have to say.... at home, maybe in my sauna for a while, then playing with my kids, then spending a romantic uninterrupted evening with my husband.
I would love to go to Scotland though! .... one day
What a cool topic, Cherie, thanks for posting this. I had to think a long time, because there are SO MANY great places that I really love.
My own backyard deck
Florida panhandle, like others mentioned, Destin
Thousand Islands/Alexandria Bay New York
Port Aransas Texas, Dunes Condominiums
Cape Cod
Cape Ann
Coast of Maine
Stowe, Vermont
My grandparents porch in Tyler Texas
What a really nice topic. Thanks again.
Los Angeles, California , the place I dreamed about when I was a child and watched as many movies as I could get to, tried moving and always come back.
I've been to Destin! I lived not far from there! You're right, beautiful, white sandy beaches, gorgeous! I loved my time in Florida and would love to go back!
well from the places i've been, mine is def
DESTIN BEACH, IN DESTIN, FLA
Yankee Stadium...nuff said.
It's tough to say. I've traveled to a lot of places but I'd have to say it's a tie between Florida, on the gulf, with the sandy white beaches and beautiful blue/green water and Hawaii. We only visited Hawaii once but I really want to go back there. I was struck with the fact that I could walk out of my hotel and the smell of flowers were all around me. They had the most beautiful, interesting plants and flowers. And the weather! It was so balmy, just right! The water was so clear I could look down and see everything. I loved out visit there and really want to go back some day!
I also loved living in Florida for awhile and being able to go to the beach whenever I wanted. Gosh, I sure do miss that!
Only on a clear day---you ride two long slow archaic 2-man metal chairlifts up through lunaresque deadly silent, except for the whip of the wind, north-facing terrain, which on a cold windy day, reminds you of your smallness-----once on top of Albona, (Stuben, Austria in the Arlburg) the priviledge of being surrounded by snow-kissed Alps offering a vista so emense and powerful, is a memory to be enjoyed for life!
I haven't traveled to know where would be my favorite but I have always wanted to go to Austraila. I bet that would be my favorite if I was able to go.
Tough question. I love warm beaches and have been to a number of Caribbean islands but don't really have a favourite yet. I do love being at a cottage on the beautiful northern lakes of Ontario. I haven't been to Greece yet but in plan to get there one day and suspect it will be my favourite.
My fav place in the world is Fiji, the people the passion for their country and of course i got married there.
Japan - home of the Akita, guard dog to the Emperor and I like the culture. The longest wait for a subway or public transit is six seconds. Sayonara.
I'd have to say Italy. Some say you fall in love again in France; but my favorite place in the whole wide world is Rome. The city's beautiful vistas take you back in time, making you live the past when gladiators at the Colosseum fought for their lives to entertain the crowd.
I wish I knew. I haven't traveled around the world to know what my favorite place would be. I used to think the field I lived across when I was a child was the best place. There were always new things to discover and hills to sled in the winter. One mof my favorite activities was to climb a tree and yell "ECHO!" to the top of my lungs. I pretended there was someone off in a distance repeating everything I said.
Now there's nothing left to enjoy except a row of condos in that area. I was devastated and it took years for me to get over it....and I still feel a tinge of sadness anytime I see a beautiful forested or open area with a sign reading "For Sale".
