That is really strange. I see quite a few here but we can get a lot of rain, 2 weeks worth currently...sob.I guess they like the damp, dark places so they don't dry out.
my neighbor down the road has had a lot in her front garden some are there again today but not as many ..I hate to tread on any ..well at least its warmed up today so I can sit outside and enjoy the view .
It was hot and sunny today. Thank God. I really mean that. It was 26 Celcius so about 79 Fahrenheit. I feel great and I got out in the gbardens and planted new flowers. I even weeded...and for once loved doing it.lol
is'nt it funny I also find weeding relaxing, you would think it would be the opposite, I also find colouring in a child's coloring book relaxing .LOl
I love to colour! I also draw and paint but have not had time for these in years so every now and then just colouring is a great alternative. How cool we have that in common as well.
Ha ha you guys, coloring. I do too. Amazon has some great adult coloring books (like victorian houses and flowers, farm scenes etc...) I use color pencils though.
I have even used crayons to color ..tell you another my MIL used to do those word games you join up, kids ones ..Lately I have been going out into the garden just to sit and do nothing that always relaxes me..
ha ha I like doing the word finds. I find all these things relaxing. :)
More snails around today they are interesting little fellows lol wish they would go play in someone else's yard ...
You have actual snails---the type with shells on their back that you find at the ocean?
these are garden snails havent you got any ? like the ones the frogs eat , the french frogs that is ,
Well I have NEVER seen snails on land before! Very interesting! I looked them up and leaned they were brought to California in 1850 by the French, (are you ready?)
for FOOD! Sooooo, dont fight them, eat them! (gag).
There is another option, its this nasty beetle that will eat the snails. The only problem, the beetle also easts your fruit and veggies. Looks like its bon appetite. (if you can get them down) lol
I know that they eat flowers, I haven't noticed many problem of eating my garden..yet.. but I know the gophers do ..the froggies, the french, eat snails all the time , I think they are special ones they fatten up .yuck
You don't have snails? We've always had them here. I just considered them normal. They aren't as big as the ones in the oceans but they do have shells. We also have slugs. Personally, I wouldn't ever consider eating them. Anything that leaves a SLIME trail behind it when it moves is NOT food. lol
The French, including the Quebecois here, eat them with garlic butter and cheese.Nasty! Truely nasty! They do take the shells off first though. I would sooner eat grass. lol
No, we dont have snails here except at the ocean. lol I never heard of them in gardens before. I am with you, I wouldnt eat them either lol I was just teasing Margy about it. lol
Slugs are nasty too and smell. Dogs always want to roll in them and dead worms for some reason.
oh yuck .. I went to dinner one time with this guy to a really posh place in Soho London.. he ordered snails and frogs legs ..me I had fish, but I watched him eat them it was the end of what could have be a good relationship ...lol
now I am looking up how to humanly get rid of snails .....lol
You could hand pick them all. lol
