I am new to this forum, and new to the world of menopause. I recently had my last ovary removed due to cysts and endometreosis.  I did not want to go through menopause or life with no estrogen at age 35, so I opted for the estrogen hormone therapy.

I chose to go with the Estradiol patches. I think that it regulates the estrogen more efficiently and you can't forget to take a pill!

Let me give you my two cents on your issues...know that I am not a dr., but am going through this myself.  INSURANCE: The drug companies ALWAYS have programs to help those without insurance. Look it up on the internet and ask!!  Another suggestion is to ask your dr for samples. Drug companies also leave a car load of samples with the doctor offices to get them to prescribe their meds! I think that may be a great way for you to try the patch if you want to... Public health may be able to help you with that too!!
DEPRESSION/ANXIETY: I am also on meds for those issues as well. Could it be that the meds you are on may be ineffective? Did you also know that those types of meds affect your sex life?
A LACK of several hormones affects a woman's sexuality different ways. I would just call your doctor and ask! Most good docs will take the time to call you, or have their nurse call you with that information.

GOOD LUCK!!
