Hot flashes

I have been on HRT (cream) for five months & I am STILL getting hotflashes. Doc has upped dosage but . . . .what is going on? She gave me oral hrt, but two days on that, I was an emotional weepy mess. This journey started 5 yrs. ago & I really want a full night's sleep without a flash.  I'm 55, healthy, active, yoga, dance, hike, eat smart. Tried Black Cohosh, Motherwort tincture & every naturopathic remedy/idea there is.  Help!

As a vegetarian, I take in a lot of soy products and have no menopausal symptoms at all - although I currently going through it. I know that soy has mild estrogenic properties, so perhaps that is the reason why - or maybe it`s just coincidence! Might be worth a try

MEDICAL PROFESSIONAL
HI,
Oral HRT is better than local creams while dealing with hot flushes. Creams mainly help with vaginal atrophy. However as the oral HRT does not suit you, other medicines are available for dealing with hot flushes like clonidine. Consult your Doctor regarding the same.
Hope this helps. Take care.
