Menopause and microcytic anemia

What do the lab test look like in a 60 year old post menopausal woman with symptoms of fatigue and a hct of 31 than would be diferent than a 34 year old woman presenting with the same symptoms.  It is assumed that both women have microcytic anemia caused by iron deficiency.
