Vaginal cuts

Ok, the little red cuts are inside the lips of the vagina, not the outside. Imagine pulling your lips apart and trying to look inside that is where the cuts are. What is going on? Worried. I'm 40 and in my 6th year of menapause, no men or sex in my life so what's the deal? Anyone, someone please help.         Sared

Hello~your vaginal area could be starting to atrophy, this means getting drier and the skin getting thinner, it is a normal part of going through menopause. I would try using some bio-identical progesterone cream in that area or on your arm or any area of your skin. It is very good for menopausal symptoms and good for when over menopause. It keeps your skin in better condition, helps the hormones stay balanced and can even help in preventing breast cancer. It is very safe and all ages can use it. It can be obtained from a  health food store or some pharmacies even carry it, of course, you can get it on-line as well. plus read loads of info on the benefits of it.

PLEASE CHECK YOUR SOAP AND SHAMPOO! DO YOU WASH YOUR HAIR IN THE SHOWER? WOMEN ARE STARTING TO GET SENSITIVE TO A VARIETY OF POPULAR PRODUCTS. ONCE I STOPPED WASHING MY HAIR IN THE SHOWER. THIS ISSUE STOPPED. GIVE IT A TRY. THE SOAP OR SHAMPOO CAN DRIP INTO THE GENITAL AREA. ALSO GET SOME PH STRIPS OR TESTERS AND TEST THE PH OF THE SOAP YOU USE. I WENT FOR TEST AFTER TEST AT A FEW DOCTORS AND THEY FOUND NOTHING FOR THE CUTS. DOCTORS HAD NO CLUE.

Hi, Just happened upon this forum and noticed your post.  I have experienced this before in the past.  I was worried too.  THought I had some dread disease!  But in a search I did, I read that this can occur with a mild yeast infection.  So I got the old trusty Miconizole (sp?)cream  that you use to treat vaginal yeast infections, applied it externally to the areas with the splits and a day or 3 later they were healed.  Hope that helps!  :)
