Skipping periods, prolonged periods, spotting, periods closer together, heavier, lighter....everything is possible during this stage of life. Be thankful that you're having this rest from periods right now! :) You'll likely still have another one. I've gone 3 months, then 6 and even almost a full year and gone back to them again. Now, I'm constantly spotting and have gone through testings for it. I'm waiting for the results from a Sonohysterogram and have been through a uterine biopsy. They're suspecting polyps in my case. I'd gladly forego anymore bleeding from down there! LOL Trade ya! ;0)
This is normal. For most women at the beginning and at the end of your period cycle things can get a bit wacky. I bled for 30 days straight & my doctor was very concerned & thought I had cancer & gave me a D & C. I was in my 40's then. I am now in my 50's. When you get into real menopause, my doctor suggested bioidentical hormones from natural, plant sources. These are a life saver! I first tried this with pills, but I have migraines & could not even take that. I now take them with a compound & sleep like a baby, have no hot flashes, & my husband & I have a better love life. Info for all you ladies...
opps sorry again, and im 47 :)
Oh and only bleeding 5, 7 days ever as well, but now so so so prolonged:(
Ive been going about the same 20 days, but lasting at times six weeks, is this peri, my doc said im in it now. its so frustrating when 12 months ago i was always all my life 26 days on the spot, and now its just horrible grrr..
1 year ago I was exactly 28 days in the 12 months past I have had 3 periods. It went from perfect to OMG I think I may shoot someone so fast I was clueless. After all I was 48 then and WAY too young!!! LOL...NOT! All of us are different in the same but you need a hormone panel, thyroid & full bloodwork-up to find out where you are on the big Meno-scale Reezie. XXOO
I am not sure if this helps but, I am 46 and I started my last cycle Nov. 23rd and as of today, I have been on it 4 weeks and 6 days. I often have mine close together as well, sometimes very light, and others very heavy. My friends was always normal, and suddenly she didn't have one for 3 months. Quite honestly, I wish I had her experience! Anyway, hope this helps.
Hi, welcome to the club. Its called peri menopause. That is just one of the things(symptoms) you have to do to join this club. As women, we have no choice as to whether we want to "belong" or not, its just a matter of when.....
