I feel your pain! I have ovarian cysts and have had one rupture. It was extremely painful. I have been having regular hot flashes, tender breasts, painful sex, and no period for four months. (and I have always been very regular, unless I'm nursing.) The hot flashes started a week after my last period so, I'm pretty sure I'm beginning the change and I'm only 28. It can happen. The doctors often don't know for sure either, but at least they can tell you if it is something else. Post what the doc tells you, I'd like to know what he/she thinks.

You certainly have something going on that affects your hormones, but that doesn't mean menopause.  I'm glad you're going to get checked out.

Why do you think it is menopause or perimenopause?  You're pretty young!  Go see your doc and get a workup.  Maybe you have an ovarian cyst or something else going on.
