I am on methadone as well and I make sure I tell my doctor, because she may prescribe me something that will mix with the methadone and kill me you never know!!!! And if your gonna get pregnant you may need to take certain precausions because it is a drug and we dont know if it will deform the baby. I personaly do not get my period at all and I am only 24 and one of the first things my doctor wondered was if it was the methadone!! I dont know how they figure it out but they ruled mine out personally.

Methadone is known to mess up periods. That is the most likely thing causing your problem. But abortions sometimes can also mess up periods so that could also be going on. Be sure to tell your doctor about the methadone. She can't help you if she doesn't know what medications you take and she can't look out for your pregnancy and new baby (when you get pregnant) if she doesn't know about the methadone. You'll also get a bunch of tests you don't need because the doctor might be looking for something else besides the real problem.
